Welcome, and thank you for visiting!

My name is Bee and this is my new blog! Let me start by telling you a little bit about myself. I live in sunny South Florida, and I know we have a bad rep, but hear me out. I admit, we have our faults (every time a crazy story comes out on the national news I think "please don't be in Florida"), but it really is a beautiful state, and a true melting pot of cultures. Don't knock it until you visit!

I am a second-generation Cuban-American and self-proclaimed foodie, and I would definitely say that they go hand-in-hand. My childhood memories almost all involve some sort of delicious meal--carne con papas, fricase de pollo, lechon asado, pan con bisctec, sopa de pollo*...I could just go on and on.

My two greatest passions are dancing and traveling.

I am a salsa and bachata dancer and performer, and I actually met my husband this way, but more on that another time. I train several times a week with my team and we perform at local venues as well as congresses nationally and internationally.

Travel...I have met very few people who don't love it (and those that didn't were mostly due to an irrational fear of flying). I am always hungry for an adventure. I look forward to sharing stories from our travels with you, and I hope you get to experience some of those wonders as I have--and share those adventures with me in turn!

I hope you will follow along with me as I embark on this adventure. It has taken me some time to get to this point, where I actually write my thoughts down and make them public. I am a pretty private person in general, but some things I just wish I could shout from the rooftops in hopes that they will be useful to someone else.

xo, Bee
