Overtone Daily Conditioner Review

So, I have that classic Latina dark brown hair with a blonde balayage. Recently, since I no longer work a traditional "9-to-5", I decided I wanted purple hair. Not like, crazy wacko purple (though, I admire those who have it, I just know I can't pull it off)...just some subtle hints of purple.

Enter Overtone. Like the hair angels descended from the heavens and dropped that ad right into my news feed. Seriously though, is my phone listening to me? Do I want to know the answer to this? I'm not so sure I do.

Anywho... after looking through all the shade options, and seeing how it looks on different tones of hair and how it fades over time, I decided I liked the look of the pastel purple as a whole. I was sold. I ordered a bottle of the Pastel Purple Daily Conditioner and waited patiently for it to arrive. Kidding, it actually shipped very quickly, even though I was upset about the shipping cost. I feel like it was high...and to be completely honest, I'm also spoiled by free shipping these days (Amazon Prime anyone?).

If you've done any research on Overtone, you have already realized the mistake I made. I only bought the Daily conditioner, which is meant to MAINTAIN the color you initially add to your hair with the Deep Treatment. Whoopsies! So what I did next was try to find something--anything--online that showed me how just the daily conditioner appears on what I shall call "Non-Overtoned" hair. I found nothing.

So, I did a test patch, naturally. Honestly, I kind of like it! Not purple per-se, BUT I do hate brassy tones in my hair. Even the purple conditioner I use on the regular (Lush's Daddy-O) can't seem to keep the orange away. This toned it in 10 minutes on dry hair, no harsh chemicals involved! Here are the before and after pics!

So, if you're a boob like me who doesn't read directions but doesn't mind some good toning action, this is the conditioner for you! If you accidentally did what I did, but want really purple hair, you are probably going to pay another shipping charge to get that deep treatment to your doorstep, STAT!

As for me, I think I'm going to condition the rest of my hair and see how this goes. If I still feel the itch for purple, I'll grab that deep treatment!

💜💜💜

Until next time,
